We can provide all day or multiple day events within historic settings, or timed performances as part of corporate entertainment.
We can provide dance performances customised to your requirements as to number of performances and duration. We can cover dances from any period from 1450 through to around 1650. We prefer to perform indoors. Performances would normally require a minimum of 4-6 dancers and at least two musicians. We can present background information about the dances such as historical context, sources, types of dance if you require the performance to have an educational element. Performances can include simple audience participation dances which we will teach.
Music and dance performances can either be timetabled according to your requirements, or on a semi-continuous basis as and when an audience gathers. We can also timetable talks on a variety of topics suitable for the period covered including talks on music, dance, costume, food including preparation, serving and dining arrangements, people associated with the site, and period pursuits such as hunting.
We have participated in the staging of Elizabethan/Jacobean Masques and can provide the dance elements for a masque presentation, and we have contacts with actors who can provide a theatrical performance.
If you want an evening event that includes a meal then we can also arrange for period cooks to provide appropriate food and drink for a buffet or sit down meal.
